Vintage dolls

Vintage dolls are usually dated to being between 1930 and 1980. Some people have an even more specific cut-off date for this term. Generally, a person will define such an item as one created either between 1930 and 1960 or 1930 and 1980. A figure created before this time will generally be described as an "antique doll."

Many people today find themselves trying to price vintage dolls. Luckily, a good number of catalogues exist to aid a person in finding the current value of such an item. There are also plenty of Web sites dedicated to this cause. Some may be separately devoted to identifying a doll, while others are more geared toward pricing it.

Some vintage dolls exist as reproductions of antique porcelain dolls. For this reason, it is important to look at the body to determine its true age under these circumstances. A potential seller or buyer should also keep in mind that any problems with the doll's conditions will lower its value extensively.
