Collectible dolls come in many forms. Some are actual older antique and vintage varieties. Other options are created as reproductions of these. Still more choices are more contemporary, coming out in limited editions for a variety of purposes.

When dealing with older collectible dolls, materials tend to be of major significance. For instance, many people find the porcelain figures of the Victorian era to be particular appealing. More vintage creations may be created from plastic or experimental composite materials.
